These pictures are from Teach-Mart in Keller, Texas, who are displaying many creative uses for TREND's new Furry Friends(TM) product collection!

Our new Furry Friends(TM) Classic Accents(R), part # T-10975, feature a unique diecut to hold student work or display materials. The Bolder Border(R) T-85093 runs along the outside of this bulletin board, and the letters used are TREND's Ready Letters(R) T-79754, Neon Dots pattern, and T-470 Purple Casual Font. Using snips of black construction paper behind the letters is a clever color combination that enhances the "spooky" headline.

Our T-8311 Furry Friends(TM) Birthday Fun Bulletin Board Set is paired with our T-38425 Happy Birthday Learning Chart for a cohesive theme. The Bulletin Board Set includes Furry Friends(TM) in blue, orange, and red, each with adjustable arms or hands. The blue fellow stands over 2 feet tall! The set also includes a birthday cake, candles, balloons, party hats, banner, and gifts; 32 pieces in all. This is a very flexible set; the characters have so much personality and versatility that they can be put to work for many other lesson plans and class activities. (We'll explore some of those other uses in upcoming posts!)

Speaking of flexibility, here the store staff have paired the T-85093 Furry Friends(TM) Bolder Border(R) with one of our Alphabet Line Bulletin Board Sets (such as the T-8225 Rainbow Swirls - Zaner-Bloser Cursive). A teacher using this arrangement can then use the Furry Friends Classic Accents(R) (shown above) to hold spelling words, for instance!

Another new TREND Bulletin Board Set for 2010 is T-8268 Colortime Paints. This set has 37 pieces and teaches 11 different colors and color words; both primary and secondary colors. The jars are 8" tall.

Around the edge of this display the staff have layered our new T-85089 Colortime Paintbrushes Bolder Borders(R) on top of Yellow Terrific Trimmers(R) T-9876.
They've also layered TREND Ready Letters(R) for a neat effect. Here they've set 3" Yellow Casual Font letters, T-79003, on top of 4" Blue Casual Font letters T-459. The colors really "pop" to underscore the lesson plan being presented.
The 3-D paint can on the right side of the display can be made by curving a sheet of tagboard and taping the edges along the inside. Here, the staff have used the extra blank sheet from our T-480 Metallic Silver Ready Letters(R) package, which is sized perfectly for this display.

Feature your store’s creativity, using any of our 34 new Bulletin Board Sets or Mini Bulletin Board Sets, plus coordinating TREND items.

Entries will be judged on sales effectiveness and artistic merit. High-traffic locations, ability to purchase product near the display, and use of many TREND products all increase entrants’ scores.

Education Supply stores of all sizes and from all parts of the world are encouraged to participate.
